Different Types of Social Networking:
There are six types of Social Networking
Social Networks: These are services that allow you to connect with other people of similar interests and background. Common Social Networking sites make you create a profile and find people through those profiles and be able to contact them.
Bookmarking Sites: These are services that allow you to save, manage, and organize links to various resources around the internet.
Social News: These are services that allow you to post various new items or links to various outside articles and allows users to read and "vote" for them.
Media Sharing: These are services that allow you to upload and share various media such as videos and pictures.
Micro-blogging: These are services that focuses on short updates and subscriptions that you have pushed to receive.
Blog Comments and Forums: Online forums allow you to hold conversations and post messages. They are similar to blogs but center around one certain post instead of many.
